Global warming anyone?........Gravity satellites see ice loss Much of the ice is being lost from southeast Greenland Greenland is currently losing about 100 billion tonnes of ice a year. US space agency (Nasa) scientists have undertaken a new assessment of the rate of melting occurring on the great ice sheet that covers the region. Their data comes from satellites that detect changes in mass by monitoring tiny fluctuations in the pull of gravity as they fly over the Earth. Scott Luthcke, from the Goddard Space Flight Center, and colleagues report their study in the journal Science.....Love, Red from NM

Want more proof that God's prophets are right?........Antarctica losing ice to oceans By Richard Black Environment Correspondent, BBC News website This is a completely new way of measuring the ice sheet mass balance, and so it's extremely exciting David Vaughan, British Antarctic Survey A new space-based study of Antarctica shows its ice sheet is shrinking. Researchers used satellites to plot changes in the Earth's gravity in the Antarctic during the period 2002-2005. Writing in the journal Science, they conclude that the continent is losing 152 cubic km of ice each year, with most loss in the west. In recent years scientists have found other evidence that West Antarctic ice is melting, which could contribute to sea level rise. In his contribution to a recent report on climate change, the director of the British Antarctic Survey, Chris Rapley, described the West Antarctic ice sheet as "a giant awakened".....The End is near.....Love, Red from NM

Any one for more proof??........ Fluctuations associated with climate warming are behind the Earth's mysteriously expanding waistline, scientists said at the American Geophysical Union (AGU) fall meeting in San Francisco this week. One has to be concerned for the health of the planet Dr Jean Dickey A surge in sub-polar glacier melting, along with shifts in ocean circulation, had forced massive redistributions of water away from the poles to the Earth's midsection, said physicist Jean Dickey of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena. The result is a planet shaped increasingly like a pumpkin. "Some people refer to it as equatorial obesity," said Dr Dickey, co-author of a study recently published in the journal Science. Researchers from JPL and the Royal Observatory in Belgium sought to explain the increasing oblateness of the Earth after scientists first reported on it in this summer. Earth 'getting fatter' In that study, gravity measurements revealed an abrupt reversal of post-glacial rebound, which for seashores this means massive loss of land.....Love, Red from NM

Our prophets have told us about the 1/3 of the fish dying. Wake Church, read what has ALREADY happened and realize as the prophets have said, "This is the Last Hour" not days............. 'Only 50 years left' for sea fish By Richard Black Environment correspondent, BBC News website Natural protection Enlarge Image There will be virtually nothing left to fish from the seas by the middle of the century if current trends continue, according to a major scientific study. Stocks have collapsed in nearly one-third of sea fisheries, and the rate of decline is accelerating. Writing in the journal Science, the international team of researchers says fishery decline is closely tied to a broader loss of marine biodiversity. But a greater use of protected areas could safeguard existing stocks. "The way we use the oceans is that we hope and assume there will always be another species to exploit after we've completely gone through the last one," said research leader Boris Worm, from Dalhousie University in Canada. This century is the last century of wild seafood Steve Palumbi Should fish be off the menu? Send us your comments "What we're highlighting is there is a finite number of stocks; we have gone through one-third, and we are going to get through the rest."........Love, Red from NM

Here is some 119 news that could spell great trouble for Bush and Israel......... Democrats 'to control US Senate' Jim Webb is celebrating but his victory has not been confirmed Democrats are set to win the final seat needed to take control of the US Senate, the Associated Press reports. AP declared Democrat Jim Webb victor in Virginia by 7,236 votes over Republican incumbent George Allen. Official results have yet to confirm a win. Democrats have already taken the House of Representatives, and Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld has resigned. Republican defeat in the mid-term polls has been blamed on the Iraq war, of which Mr Rumsfeld was a key architect. President George W Bush named former CIA director Robert Gates as his new defence chief. The president said the Republicans had taken a "thumping" in Tuesday's vote, in which the Democrats gained control of the House for the first time in 12 years. The Senate race has been hanging on Virginia, where Mr Allen's aides were quoted as saying he did not want to drag out the process and was likely to make a decision in the coming hours. Control of the Senate and its committees would give Democrats the right to hold hearings and approve presidential appointments, including those to the Supreme Court. Mr Bush is due to begin trying to forge a working relationship with the Democrats by having lunch with Nancy Pelosi, who is set to become the speaker of the House. 'Tired of failures' A win for Mr Webb would give the Democrats the six seats needed for a majority. Profile: Robert Gates Press reacts to departure In quotes: Rumsfeld resigns AP called the election for the Democrats after contacting election officials in the state's 134 localities for updated figures. Correspondents say the call reflects the general view that it will be impossible for any recount to change the outcome. Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid claimed victory in Virginia. "The American people have spoken clearly and decisively in favour of Democrats leading this country in a new direction," he said in a statement. "In Iraq and here at home, Americans have made clear they are tired of the failures of the last six years." A victory by Mr Webb would give both parties 49 seats in the upper chamber. SENATE RACES DEMOCRAT GAINS: McCaskill takes Missouri Casey gains Pennsylvania Brown gains Ohio Whitehouse gains Rhode Island Tester takes Montana Webb projected to take Virginia Bush speech: Full text Two independents have said they will vote with the Democrats, which would give the party the 51 votes they need to claim a majority for the first time since 2002. The reported margin of victory in Virginia is small enough for a recount to be possible, but with 99% of votes now counted, it is thought to be virtually impossible for Mr Allen to make up sufficient ground to win. 'Fresh perspective' President Bush said that he and Mr Rumsfeld had agreed that a "fresh perspective" was needed in Iraq. HAVE YOUR SAY I think Rumsfeld should have stepped down a long time ago Cample, New York Send us your comments Mr Rumsfeld had faced growing calls to quit as violence in Iraq has continued to spiral, three years after the US-led invasion. "It's been quite a time," said Mr Rumsfeld in a short departing speech. Ms Pelosi welcomed the resignation. "I hope the departure of Mr Rumsfeld will mark a fresh start toward a new policy in Iraq, signalling a willingness on the part of the president to work with the Congress to devise a better way forward," she said...Are we hearing the cries of impeachment for his lies to us?....Love, Red from NM

Olmert blames 'technical error' for deadly shelling POSTED: 11:41 a.m. EST, November 9, 2006 Adjust font size: JERUSALEM (CNN) -- Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on Thursday blamed a "technical error" for the military's tank shelling of Beit Hanoun that killed 19 Palestinian civilians, mostly women and children, according to a spokeswoman with the minister's office. The bloodshed happened early Wednesday, hours after Israel announced it had pulled out of the northern Gaza town where it was targeting militants firing Qassam rockets into Israel. Israeli tanks, poised on the outskirts of Beit Hanoun, fired 10 artillery rounds into the town's center and killed 19 people, Palestinian medical sources said. (Watch villager describe how relatives were 'cut to pieces' -- 2:40) Among the dead was a 13-member family that included seven children, the sources said. Thursday 119, Look out here comes more!!!.........Bush calls on GOP-led Congress to tie up key legislation before leaving WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Bush called Thursday for the Republican-led Congress to tackle key legislation in its final weeks. The incoming House of Representatives, elected this week, will be led by Democrats, and the Senate may be as well. The next few weeks will be "busy ones" for Congress, Bush said, calling on lawmakers to complete work on several bills, including the "terrorist surveillance act" -- the term the White House uses for legislation that would authorize the administration's warrantless surveillance program, which included wiretapping phone calls between people in the United States and suspected terrorists overseas. The legislation has drawn objections from Democrats and Republicans. The other legislation Bush cited included federal spending bills, an agreement with India for civilian nuclear technology, and trade legislation....this will cause more problems......Love Bill from NJ

Iraqi insurgents: GOP losses 'a great victory for Iraqi resistance' Now is the time to push forward because we are winning! (CNN) -- The Islamic Army in Iraq on Thursday called the Republican losses in the U.S. midterm elections that turned the political tide in favor of Democrats "a great victory for the Iraqi resistance. A time to push forward to victory." "Even (U.S. President) Bush admitted so by sacrificing the tyrant (Defense Secretary Donald) Rumsfeld on the altar of the Democrats' sweeping victory. This is further proof of our just cause and that tyranny will be defeated," said insurgent group spokesman Ibrahim Shammari in an interview with the Qatar-based satellite channel Al-Jazeera. Bush announced Rumsfeld's departure Wednesday, and said he would nominate former CIA Director Robert Gates as his replacement. The nomination must be voted on by the Senate. After he destroys his party he says......Bush 'open to any idea' on Iraq POSTED: 1:17 p.m. EST, November 9, 2006 Bush says he is open to suggestions on Iraq policy • Bush invites Democrats to White House, promises "new era of cooperation" President Bush told reporters Thursday that he respected the results of this week's elections that propelled Democrats to power and said he was "open to any idea or suggestion" that will help the U.S. achieve its goals in Iraq. "Whatever party we come from we all have a responsibility to ensure that these troops have the resources and support they need to prevail," he said. Bush was flanked by his Cabinet members with whom he met earlier in the day. He also met with outgoing GOP leaders and planned to lunch with House speaker-to-be Rep. Nancy Pelosi and House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer later, he said. (Watch Bush urge his party to "put the elections behind us" -- 3:10 ) The president also said he will meet with Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid and Senate Minority Whip Richard Durbin on Friday. Bush said he was eager to discuss with Democrats "the way forward for our country" and has instructed his Cabinet to provide the new congressional leaders with any information they need to do their jobs. "The American people expect us to rise above partisan differences, and my administration will do its part," he said. The president also outlined some issues he'd like to see Congress address before year's end.....like a donkey after getting hit in the head by a 2x4, it got his attention. Good Afternoon! Tubby came on the chat for prayer. He was one who was living on the streets and needed help. He had a drinking problem and formed a bad eating problem and would eat everything that had been thrown out from restaurants. He went from 173 lbs to 200 lbs more. He also had health problems. He said people would laugh at him and kids would run away from him and call him names.  He had said a man had come by and gave him money to come to the computer and to come to this web site and he would get the help he had need of.  After I had prayed for him, Someone was there to help him and get him back to his family. Praise God!! Jesus has set him free and he will soon be back with his family! God is so good! God bless all of you, Love Noelle

Even Japan is getting itself read for war!! Prophetic word being fulfilled!.....
Japan upgrades defence's status

Japan's troops have started to join international missions
Japan's upper house of parliament has voted to upgrade the country's defence agency to a full ministry.
The move is part of new Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's drive to lift Japan's diplomatic presence and rethink its post-World War II role.

The upper house also passed a bill that requires schools to teach patriotism in the classroom.

Both moves have caused unease among Japan's Asian neighbours, who remember Japanese militarism last century.

The bills now become law as they have already been passed by the powerful lower house.
