November 29, 2012 - 09:41 AM LARGE VERY BRIGHT CROSS-SHAPED PLANET or STAR is visible in the Western Sky That is the exact thing I saw in the sky Tuesday night. I was staring at it - just like you described! The night I saw it was the same night that that this tired pilot thought it was an oncoming plane, and I took the jet plane into a dive, and injured 16 of his passengers. They said it was the planet Venus. I can see why I was confused, as it was quite a sight. It has gotten badly overcast here in San Diego, so cannot look tonight. Take some pics, maybe?
